THE POSITION: VP Operations

The Shade Store is looking to bring on a dynamic Operations expert to join our growing Headquarter office. You’ll work directly with one of the Founders/ SVP of Customer Experience to assist with project management and day-to-day business operations effecting the customer experience within our expanding headquarter office here in Westchester County, NY. Our company is growing quickly so this will be a dynamic, evolving role and an excellent opportunity to learn a lot and make meaningful contributions in a short time. We need someone who has proven experience in Operations within a high growth company or brand. You will need to move faster than the speed of business – and keep cool under pressure while maintaining a positive and upbeat attitude.

 RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist Co- Founder/SVP of Customer Experience in identifying business process improvement methods that adhere to overall company strategy and values
  • Act as a point of contact to Co- Founder/SVP of Customer Experience, Internal Sales Department, Customer Care, Measure & Install, Production and Technology teams to drive all operations based projects that ultimately help improve customer experience pre and post-sale
  • An ideal candidate should innately understand the needs of our customers, external business partners, and internal departments to identify key issues and propose scalable solutions/best practices
  • Lead all project organization to ensure requirements and project deliverables are clearly communicated, understood and executed by necessary departments
  • Provide weekly project management updates regarding project timelines, setbacks and defining project needs
  • Simplify complex issues into more attainable company goals and objectives
  • Liaise with the Technology team on developing requirements for Post Sale Customer Care reporting needed  
  • Be willing to be a vocal leader by thinking strategically and proactively sharing information with other team members/owners in order to continuously improve our world class customer experience
  • Perform other special or ad-hoc projects when required
  • Willingness to assist with the changing business needs across the organization

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

  • Bachelor's degree with a concentration in Business or related field
  • 6+ years of Operations experience within the retail industry
  • Strong understanding of project management, process improvement, workflow and infrastructure
  • Customer-centric mindset – proven success with personalizing the connection with clients
  • High level of adaptability and the ability to shift direction quickly
  • Entrepreneurial outlook with a solution based approach
  • Strong communication skills – both verbal and written
  • Microsoft suite champion, especially Excel
  • Strong administrative skillset
  • Calm demeanor and ability to stay cool when under pressure
  • Willing to work a flexible schedule
  • Attention to detail and high level of organization is a must
